    • A mix of Southwest native wildflowers favored as food by desert tortoises. Varieties are fast growing and can tolerate munching abuse. This mix is great for any garden!

    Mix includes 8 species including Desert Marigold, Mexican Evening Primrose, Desert Globemallow, Arizona Poppy, Parry's and Palmer's Penstemons, Desert Senna, and California Buckwheat.

    Available in two sizes: Small (1.5 g and covers approximately 30 sq. feet), and Large (0.5 oz and covers approximately 100-200 sq. feet).

Good results!

I follow the (thankfully) enclosed instructions to the letter, and have had very good growth from these seeds. No complaints from my desert tortoise.

Not a single germinated seed

I planted the entire seed packet over two plots in mid to late October. Not a single seed germinated. Normally I would attribute this to user error, but I had a third plot planted under identical conditions with a different seed packet. The third plot with the different seeds is flourishing. I thought I had two seeds germinate from the desert tortoises mix, but they turned out to be volunteer palo verde plants. I saw other reviews for this seed packet with the same complaints and thought they were just a fluke. They weren’t. I do not suggest purchasing the Desert Tortoise mix.

Nothing sprouted in almost 2 months

I planted the seeds according to the instructions and nothing sprouted. I was really hoping that my tortoise would get some special treats this year but it doesn't look like it.
