Rock Corral Canyon Wild Tepary

I purchased several varieties of Tepary beans. I live in Kansas and my planting season is in spring - about 5+ months away. I am looking forward to planting them, watching them grow, harvesting, and finally tasting/eating them! I will update then! Thanks.

Rock Corral may not like conditions where I live. (Inland So. Cal.) The other tepary varieties (santa rosa is one) germinated exceptionally well. Rock Corral, only 4 plants out of the entire package. The other varieties are also growing quite well.

After my dog invaded the ‘desert’ part of my garden, I figured they were done. She’s a digger and flung all the dirt out of the garden. I still watered the plot for a couple days, then gave up. For the last 45 days, with ZERO water, I have 5 beautiful, healthy RCC bean plants growing and climbing! Excited to taste the little guys when it’s harvest time!

Almost all sprouted. They have vined ip a trellis. They are beginning to bloom now. Will buy more next year. I live near Rock Corral so that makes them more special.
