Black Mesa Melon

Cucumis melo. Collected in the Black Mesa area of the Navajo Nation, this is a variable melon. Mostly cantaloupe and some honeydew types included. Round and oblong shapes, skin may be smooth or netted.  Our partner farmer says the fruit tastes like cantaloupe and honeydew combined.  From our Seed Bank Collection.
