Round Lidded Basket - Tohono O'Odham

This handwoven basket is by Tohono O'odham artist Fred Cruz from Sells, Arizona. Basket measures 3 inches tall plus 1 inch for the lid handle and 3.25 inches in diameter. Lid is removable for storage inside basket.

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert. Green coils are native beargrass and the white, open stitches are of sun bleached yucca. Keep away from sunlight to maintain color variations.
