Nice-sized, delicious watermelons

I grew these "with the monsoon", after some nice rains on 6/26/2024. I planted, honestly, TOO many seeds, so I don't know how many separate plants I have growing, but probably at least 3 or 4 within the same ~2ft x 3ft planting zone. I have them planted under several inches of mulch and watered 2 or 3 times a week. They have spread 10-15ft in all directions.

As of 11/4/2024 I have been able to successfully harvest 5 watermelon, all were crisp, juicy, and sweet with the red/pink interior as mentioned in the description. Most of them have been a solid green or dark green exterior, but I have 1 ripening that is light green + dark green striped.

What I like about this watermelon is that even if you harvest them a bit early (i.e. hollow sound when knocking on it, but the tendril is still completely green), they still are enjoyable to eat. They are also a pretty good size, but not gigantic. My biggest was 17lb, but they are more like 10.

It has been very fertile as well. There are still at least 12 more watermelons ripening, that are close enough that I should be able to harvest most of them before it gets too cold. Fingers crossed!

The only con is that they are very seed-y, but that also just means you have plenty of seeds to choose from if you want to grow it again :)

A cool thing that happened that makes me like this watermelon even more, is that I over-watered once and the first melon that was growing cracked at the blossom end :( but it didn't crack all the way through so I decided to see if it would still ripen - and it did!
