Hand carved from cottonwood root and signed by the artist. "The Blue Corn Katsinmana appears at Soyal ceremony at the start of the Katsina season. She blesses the openings to the Hopi kivas with cornmeal and a prayer for the corn crops to provide ongoing food for Mother Earth's children.
