My Seeds are sprouting great.. It’s makes our new house very elegant with colors and freshness.

I live in hawaii on the central/west side of the island of oahu. These squash are going off right now!!! While quick growing it was a bit slow to set fruit. Still trying to determine if it was pest or stress. One thing is for sure they are setting fruit after fruit right now. It looks like I have 3 different colors. And even some of the leaves on some vines are a bit different which is beautiful. Its been getting hot but still very cool so we will see how it stands our summers which have been getting hotter every year (of course nothing like Arizona. Also im probably only about 10 to 12 ft above sea level. Now that they are doing amazing, let's see how they taste once done. . Excited!

The squash vines have grown much larger than I anticipated. There are about 20 square yards of squash vines from just three hills I planted. The lovely gray-speckled leaves are up to two feet in diameter and provide a canopy cover that keeps the soil moist and shaded, needing very little additional irrigation. There are some squash forming, but I don't know how to tell when they are ripe.

I am planting this one for the first time, and so far so good. I am planting it in a large Earthbox which has water reserve and the seed germinated quickly and is currently looking like a nice healthy plant... even have some small flower buds started. I look forward to seeing how well it holds up to the summer heat and what I end up getting for a winter squash from this.
