Gila Pima Ha:l

Beautiful plant. Thrifty and productive. I wish someone could tell me: 1. When the huge squash fruits are ripe? 2. How to store them? 3. Ways to prepare them? 4 How large can they be and still used as summer squash? 5. Would Native seeds search want me to save seed for them? 6. Are the sees good to eat? 7. And etc.?

Seeds grew healthy and strong. We planted late June in Flagstaff school garden beds. The plants are flowering now and soon we should start seeing pods.

The Gila Pima Ha:l seeds are really good. They started sprouting within 2 weeks. I like getting my seeds from the Native - Seeds.

Great seeds, great fulfilment. Unique seeds that I am eager to plant this year!

I grew these several years ago and came back for another packet, thought I'd leave a review.

I live in South Dakota and have a 120-150 frost-free growing season, but these still yielded very well for me. Growing any squash up here you just learn when to start pruning flowers for fruit that won't finish. I had massive fruit, I would say more like 16-24" typical size. Gorgeous skin, delicious flesh. They are not the sweetest squash but I don't like sugar that much. They taste great. I ate them before winter was up but they lasted a few months for me easy enough.

I like growing plants from Native Seeds because it can be hot and dry here in the summer and these plants tolerate it better than most. Many thanks for the very important work that you do.
