    • Capsicum annuum.  Medium to hot thin-walled chiles, 3-6" in length.  When red ripe they have a nice tart-fruity flavor.  An Abiquiu family worked with a chile variety from Santa Clara Pueblo and adapted it to this short season area where chiles are rarely grown.  From our Seed-Bank Collection.

    • Origin: High desert at close to 6100' elevation
    • Medium to Hot in heat.

too early to tell

We planted seeds to flats in early January and transplanted them to 3" pots yesterday upon all 10 sprouts having their true leaves (1.5"). They'll go out to the garden in later March. Ask me then.
