Eruca sativa. Grown in Tucson for 35+ years by an Italian family who brought the family seed with them to the US in the 1920's. Both cold and heat tolerant; can be grown all year long in the low desert, though flavor is stronger in hot weather, milder in cool weather.

Love this arugula

This is the best arugula I've grown. In the low desert of the Coachella valley and it's bullet proof. Great growth, reseeds and easy to collect. Has a strong pepper flavor, flowers are great to collect and freeze for use later, and seeds can be collected.
