Momo flutters among flowers gathering pollen. Above the rain clouds, bees and butterflies symbolized as flowers announce the coming moisture. Among the flowers are petroglyphs depicting the bee migrations and rain clouds which bring life-giving water to a desert land. During the monsoon season, the desert is blessed with life-giving rain. These rains bring flowers which bees gather to. Bees pollinate not only plants that the Hopi people depend on, but they also provide honey.

Gerald Dawavendewa is a member of the Hopi tribe. He grew up in the village of Munqapi, located in northern Arizona. In 1994, Gerald sent an artwork depicting the Hopi cosmos aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. He is also Author and Illustrator of the children's book "The Butterfly Dance". Gerald's work reflects the rich traditions of his Hopi & Cherokee culture.
