Proboscidea parviflora var. parviflora. From the Fort McDowell Yavapai Reservation in central Arizona. White and black seeded variety with long, 12" claws. Beautiful and fragrant flowers. Fibers used to make traditional Yavapai baskets.

Origin: Low desert, about 1440' elevation

good growth so far

I'm starting some seedlings in pots to use as ornamentals. the germination rate is really good, and a couple of them are starting to flower already. so far so good.

Saved for next year

I will write a complete review next fall. I received exactly what I expected. I will be growing a purely native American garden next year and will have lots to share. Our environment here in Eastern Washington is much more similar to the southwest than people think. Trying to adapt Hopi wisdom for my environment.
