Monica has a broad background working in local food systems, and is committed to growing and sharing good food. She has grown fruits and vegetables for farms across southern New Mexico and Texas before relocating to the beautiful Sonoran Desert.
Working with NS/S inspires her to grow her understanding of the complex relationships between people, plants and place, and to contribute to regional food security in the present and for the future. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and basket weaving using recycled materials.
